Description
This spray neutralizes chlorine and protects skin and hair from chlorinated pool or water exposure. Sodium ascorbate (a form of vitamin C) is the super star in this spray, as it helps to change chlorine to an unharmful compound that can be easily rinsed from the skin and hair. This helps to prevent and relieve possible effects of chlorine exposure such as itching, burning, and dryness. ⠀⠀
Chlorine naturally reacts with organic compounds that are already present in water, creating harmful and toxic disinfection byproducts (DBPs) such as trihalomethanes (THMs). THMs can be even more concentrated when absorbed through the skin, possibly contributing to health risks that can affect the heart, nervous system, and can be linked to cancer.

This gave me a little more peace of mind for my young boys swimming in chlorinated public pools. It was easy enough to apply, and the nozzle works well. I love that they also sell a neoprene sleeve you can put on the bottle. But I don't know whether or not the spray actually was effective, as I didn't notice a difference either way. Even so, I keep this stowed in my swim bag in the summer.

I have used this several times now. I sprayed this on my suit and my skin however I think it really helped with swimmers itch from the chlorine on my suit. The skin maybe not so much. Next time I read this online to put Vaseline on my skin which I did and sprayed my suit, and my skin was 98% less itchy!

This works wonders for my daughters pans/PANDAS, since chlorine really triggers her flares. I was skeptical but swear by it now! We use before and after swimming, on her skin, suit and hair.
