I use this for my toddler and child for sleep help when they are having trouble sleeping. Majority of the time it works for both my kids. My toddler uses it a lot during sleep regressions or growth spurts when he has trouble sleeping. I massage it on their feet and then put socks on before bed. For my child with ADHD it works best if she tries to sleep by herself first and then if she can't fully fall asleep I use this and it helps. I use this in combination with the tart cherry sleep drink from Rowe Casa. The combination works well.

The magnesium gel burns really bad if you have a cut or break of skin of any kind so I definitely do not recommend using it on an area like that. I've had a cut on my hand and when applying to my kids I've gotten it in the cut and it burns very badly. Just have to wash and run under water right away. It also makes the skin peel for a few weeks after regular use. For my toddler using it on his feet everyday for a week or so for bedtime and his feet skin will be peeling for up to a month after. It doesn't bother, hurt, or irritate though.
